Meditation for Mindfulness and Psychic

The practice of existing.     Meditation is, at its core, the practice of simply existing. It can be very easy to forget how to exist without needing to justify that existence to anyone else and especially yourself. This is why it is a practice - it might feel boring at first, because the more basic part of you is constantly looking to ensure your survival. Part of that means that if there is nothing going on, it feels the need to do something, because we evolved in an environment where doing nothing for too long could mean death. Meditation, among other benefits, helps to cultivate a sense of ease detached from the guilt your brain uses to motivate you into doing things all the time. Meditation is also incredibly useful for connecting and strengthening your natural psychic abilities - once detached from your thoughts and aware of your body, it is a lot easier to listen to connect to the rest of you, the source of all of your psychic abilities.

     It all begins with relaxation.     The basis of mindfulness meditation and all psychic ability is complete relaxation. If you are relaxed, your mind has a much harder time clouding your vision and you will be much more easily able to listen and see with your psychic senses. To really relax:

  • Either sit in a cross legged position with your spine erect (a cushion or pillow can be helpful for this) or lay down on your back with your palms facing up.
  • Scan your entire body and consciously relax any tension in your body.
    • Start with your jaw.
    • Cheeks.
    • Eyelids.
    • Eyes.
    • Brow.
    • Scalp.
    • The back of your neck and shoulders.
    • Now feel the relaxation seep into your brain.
    • Your toes, your feet, and your legs.
    • Your fingers, hands, and arms.
    • Your back.
    • Your abdomen, and chest.
    • One last look over your entire body to ensure that no muscles are being used that aren't necessary to keep your upright (if you choose to do this sitting).

         Energy Conversion Box.      If you are stressed about something in particular, imagine a box, which we will now call your Energy Conversion Box. This box holds the answers to all of your problems, and will hold anything that you put in it so that it will not bother you while you are meditating. Open the box with your mind, place a representation of your stressers inside, close the box, and put it behind you. You can open it back up at the end and the solutions will be revealed to you - and will not bother you while you're trying to relax.

      Watching your breath.      If you are not doing psychic work, this is where you will watch your breath. It gives your mind something  to concentrate on while you are practicing existing. Simply bring awareness to how the air flows in and out of you (don't try too hard - that defeats the purpose of meditating). Your brain will likely still conjure thoughts to disturb your peace - this is okay. Do not judge yourself or these thoughts. Simply acknowledge them and go back to watching your breath. Start at five minutes, and see if you can incrementally increase the duration by 5 or so minutes a week until you reach a point that feels right.

     Alpha brainwave state for psychic ability.     To enter into a psychic trance, first relax with the above methods, and then imagine yourself in a forest clearing at night, with the moon and stars overhead. You are completely safe here, in fact it feels a bit familiar. Imagine the moon sending a clear crystal down in front of you, floating in front of you at eye height. visualize the following in order:

  • A red aurora borealis appears in the sky above. Really try to see it. The crystal glows red in response.
  • Now the aurora changes to orange and so does the crystal. Take time to appreciate how beautiful it all is and how wonderful it is that you are seeing it.
  • Imagine the same for yellow,
  • Green,
  • Blue,
  • Dark purple/indigo,
  • Light purple.

Now, count from 1 to 7 as the crystal flashes from red to light purple. It then dissolves. Affirm to yourself that you are in an alpha brainwave state. Your psychic abilities should feel much more clear and flow more smoothly because you are so relaxed.
