Megan

Online Volunteer

Megan is a celtic polytheist. As a practicing pagan for the last 5 years, she is interested in studying the pre-Christian religions of the England/Ireland/Scotland geographic regions and applying their influences to modern pagan spirituality. She is a musician and hopes to bring peace, joy, healing, and love to our group through music and can be heard at several of our events throughout the year. You can reach Megan by email or via PAL's social media.

Volunteer Moderators

The way we get it done!

Without these passionate folks to be the face of our community, selflessly lending their spiritual expertise, their interpersonal and practical skills, PAL would not be able to thrive. From moderating our online social media accounts, creating engaging content and events, working as sounding boards for not just our community but our Board of Directors, and putting in the sweat equity at our get togethers and events to bring them to life, our Volunteer Moderators are part of the foundation that makes up this amazing community. Get to know them and feel free to email them or reach out through PAL's social media.

Jana Ross

In Person Volunteer

Jana grew up Methodist in her Grandma's church over summers as a child, and never realized anything else existed outside of the big 3. Jana has since unofficially been a Pagan for over 20 years. With a long pause between then and when she found PAL, and has been excited to be back on her path. Her initial exposure to Wicca back in 2002 was a couple of years before moving to Charleston. It was through that exposure that she finally realized there was a name for what she felt, thought and believed in. As an avid reader, most of her initial knowledge came as a solitary practitioner and now helps PAL's members feel a sense of camaraderie as she connects to others with similar histories. When Jana moved back to the lowcountry, she was thrilled to find the Pagan Community still going strong in the area, albeit by a different group name, she found names, faces, and friends from the past still doing what they were back then. Now as one of PAL's cherished volunteers she helps welcome folks and keep the community going strong with her calm logic. Her life experiences and great idea's are an asset and you can meet Jana at many of PAL's events or reach out to her via email or PAL's social media.

Sonya Capps

In person Volunteer

Sonya although always Pagan curious had a strict Christian upbringing. It was not until her 3 beautiful daughters each found their Pagan way and their own individual paths that she knew it was safe to come out of the proverbial broom closet herself. Through her family she has found strength, courage and acceptance. Sonya now lends all of that and more to PAL coupled with her sweet, southern hospitable charm and that same encouragement she sought for so long. Sonya loves the ocean, camp fires, crystals, candle magic, and spell work. She has an infinity for bugs and critters, especially spiders. She is a kitchen witch through and through and that is where the work of her heart and soul truly flourishes. You can find Sonya hosting PDC every other month or at most of PAL's events. You can also reach Sonya through email or PAL's social media.

Jessica Sherman

Online Volunteer

Jessica loves meeting different people because everyone has a story to tell. Relatively new to paganism and still exploring where her path will take her, she has a has a strong affinity towards mother nature and a Naturalistic view. As an Ominist she lends a sense of acceptance to those around her. Jessica's sweet charm and unique perspective is an asset to our volunteer team, and you can find her at many events where she can't wait to meet everyone and make them feel welcome. You can also reach her through our email or via PAL's social media.

Chance Blakesley

In person Volunteer

Chance was born in Utah in 1984. He wasn't religious until he moved to Summerville in 1999. He had his first divine moment when his friend and he asked Poseidon to raise the waves at the beach, and then they raised an additional 3 feet in two minutes. From there he knew there was more to know. He started researching ancient beliefs and finally by seeming fate, met the members of Mystic Oaks. From then on he studied under Mama Pam and Charles Short for many years thereafter. Chance now follows all paths much like an eclectic Omnist, simply because he believes that they are all important and have validity in life. It is this characteristic that makes him an invaluable member and volunteer today. When Chance became aware of PAL he joined and soon after volunteered to as a moderator so he could help others find their paths in the world. As a lifetime student, Chance is a gentle soul with a kindness that radiates from him for all to see. Of his many passions, teaching and helping others is what makes him a true asset to our team. You can find Chance at events with an always available ear and a warm hug, or reach him via email or PAL's social media.
